Therapeutic Approach
Together, these approaches allow therapy to be structured yet flexible, reflective yet grounded - supporting meaningful change while
respecting your nervous system and your agency.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is woven throughout our work, with a focus on clarifying what matters to you, building
psychological flexibility, and learning new ways to relate to difficult thoughts and emotions rather than fighting or avoiding them.
The foundation of therapy is person-centered (PCT). You are the authority on your own experience, and our work is collaborative
rather than prescriptive. There is no expectation to arrive with clear answers or to move faster than feels right -your goals, values, and
readiness guide the process.
Attachment- and relationally-informed care shapes how therapy unfolds over time. We pay attention to safety, trust, and pacing, and
we explore relational patterns as they naturally show up in your life and in the therapeutic relationship itself.
Psychodynamic depth is integrated thoughtfully, helping us understand repeating patterns, emotional themes, and meanings without
rushing into past experiences before there is enough stability and support. Insight is used to expand choice and self-understanding,
not to push for disclosure.

Who We Are
Since 2025, We’ve on a mission to redefine mental health care for historically
underserved communities. At Cadencia, we invite you to expect more,
embrace yourself as you are, and nurture hope for what’s ahead.
Join us on a journey where diversity is celebrated, equity is prioritized, and
inclusion is the heartbeat of everything we do.
Here, you’re not just a participant — you’re the director of your own story.
We provide the support, tools, and community to help you script a narrative
of resilience, self-discovery, and growth. Your well-being takes center stage,
exactly where it belongs.
Because healing isn’t one-size-fits-all, our care moves with you. From
traditional therapy to innovative approaches, we tailor every experience to
your unique rhythm. Whether you connect with us face-to-face or through
telehealth, our goal remains the same — to create a personalized, accessible
experience that fits seamlessly into your life.
This is Cadencia — where care flows with purpose, and your story finds its
rhythm.
About Cadencia
What does Cadencia Mean?
Cadencia is the Spanish word for cadence — the rhythm or pace that carries a runner forward.
The name, and the practice itself, were born from two verses that ground me:
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith,”
2 Timothy 4:7
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9
Cadencia started because I wanted to create a space where marginalized communities could
receive care that was both specialized and accessible — care that sees the full person and meets
them where they are. Too often, therapy feels like something you have to earn or fit into, but I
wanted Cadencia to feel like something that moves with you.
For me, Cadencia is about disrupting the notion of balance — that fragile idea that we have to
curate our lives just right to stay steady. It’s about cadence: learning your own rhythm,
understanding your pace, and knowing that every season of life — like every terrain a runner
faces — calls for different expectations, strength, and grace.
